An excellent place to enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park is famous for its large elephants with massive tusks. Most tourists to this picturesque park are drawn in by the background of the snow-capped Kilimanjaro towering above the Amboseli plains, which has a range of diverse habitats like dusty plains and marshy swamps. Four of the Big Five are present, and Amboseli offers excellent animal watching. Although rhinos are missing, large herds of elephants regularly travel to and from the marshy swamps in the park's middle. There are lots of buffalo, wildebeest, Burchell's zebra, and gazelles around. Of the great cats, lions are the easiest to spot, although sightings are inconsistent. Although Amboseli can be visited all year round, the best time to see wildlife is during the dry season, which lasts from June to October. During this time, animals congregate around marshes and other dependable water sources. When the weather is dry, animals moving across the sandy plains tend to create a lot of dust, which makes for some fantastic low-light photography chances.
